It is no longer global warming because it isn't.

It is climate change because it does.

Men are never so likely to settle a question rightly as when they discuss it freely.

— Thomas B. Macaulay (1800-1859), Essay on Southey's Colloquies

All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

Thunderstorms in Edmonton

For July 12, 2012.

So, you say?

It is a story about severe weather with nary a politically correct mention of or attribution to global warming.

How refreshing and accurate!

Like it has never happened in the history of Edmonton.

They had flash floods and hail too. It is just weather folks. It has happened before and will happen again.

Hopefully, people will not be as inconvenienced next time.

Unfortunately the Mont Blanc avalanche on July 2012 has claimed a number of lives with some people still missing.

Again, there was no attribution to anthropogenic global warming. Have we gone back to reporting weather related stories for what they are - human tragedies? Stuff happens without an evil human influence although some might question the wisdom of climbing a snow covered mountain in the summertime.

The Alps received a lot of snow this past winter and spring and it is hanging around for the summer.
