It is no longer global warming because it isn't.

It is climate change because it does.

Men are never so likely to settle a question rightly as when they discuss it freely.

— Thomas B. Macaulay (1800-1859), Essay on Southey's Colloquies

All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

Tipping points - more settled science /sarc

Climate Depot maintains a history of tipping point prognostications issued by various experts on climate change.

It is encouraging to see that there is a consensus among the experts who also maintain that the science is settled.

It certainly inspires confidence in the future climate predictions of these knowledgeable icons of climate science.

Lack of agreement would cause doubt in their abilities as seers and might even sow the seeds of skepticism in their climate acumen.

As in the case of Harold Camping the continual failure of one's prophecies can lead to mockery and irrelevance.

Tipping points have become a scare tactic of doomsday climate warmist alarmists and as they continue to pass without 'all hell breaking lose' their warnings attain the same status as the next report on cancer causing agents.

The same disdain will follow if people continue to blame almost everything on global warming/climate change. I am sorry folks but CO2 just isn't that powerful or nefarious. It is a harmless trace gas essential to life on earth. It has little to do with the source of global warming.

Predictions like this one don't help the cause.
