It is no longer global warming because it isn't.

It is climate change because it does.

Men are never so likely to settle a question rightly as when they discuss it freely.

— Thomas B. Macaulay (1800-1859), Essay on Southey's Colloquies

All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

Downsizing

One of the effects of climate change is thought to be the shrinking of animal life.

Or maybe not...

Anything is possible with Climastrology...

And now Hollywood has picked up on the issue with its movie Downsizing

"Downsizing" follows a kindly occupational therapist who undergoes a new procedure to be shrunken to four inches tall so that he and his wife can help save the planet and afford a nice lifestyle at the same time.”

Has science fiction invaded Science as well as the movies where we expect it to appear.

But how does global warming explain the presence of large animals and large humans in the hot humid equatorial regions of our planet?

Changes in CO2 concentration in the atmosphere do not make animals larger or smaller. The Polar Bear managed to become large in a cold environment.

There are 400 ppm CO2 in both the equatorial and polar regions of the planet. Big and small animals appear in both places. What does CO2 have to do with it?
