To Those in Review:
Education
The truth does not need protection from inquiry. False theories need protection from the truth. False theories need suppression of open inquiry.
Which is naturally followed by
In the land of the free....OK, California is loopy....Portland to follow?
That it was even considered is abominable.
The truth can withstand scrutiny. It welcomes examination. The truth does not need to be defended by force but it can be suppressed by force. In Portland, only the adults are allowed to think. Doubting and inquiry banned in Portland.
So Portland wants to prevents its students from seeing the following unsettling science aka, reality? Hide them, hide them, oh, horrors, hide the scientific journals... anybody think to ask the kids how they feel about it?
“Already this year there are 6 peer-reviewed papers examining efforts to curtail CO2 emissions through the use renewable energies. They all conclude that the effort won’t be successful. Given the trillions already committed and at risk of being totally wasted, one has to seriously question the wisdom of the effort.”
God forbid the kids should find out what science is discovering about the climate. They must be shielded at all costs from any data that is countervailing to the global warming sermon...suppress, suppress. Discovery of the truth is not welcome in Portland.
Richard Benedik, former U.S./UN bureaucrat: "A global climate treaty must be implemented even if there is no scientific evidence to back the greenhouse effect."
Makes sense, no? These are our thought leaders?
Maurice Strong, a former billionaire UN elitist & large CO2 producer: “Isn't the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn't it our responsibility to bring that about?”
Nasty aren’t they?
Wanna play? Will we get a choice to avoid the ‘modern debacle’ alluded to above?
It is a sad day for Education and Science in Portland.
