It is no longer global warming because it isn't.

It is climate change because it does.

Men are never so likely to settle a question rightly as when they discuss it freely.

— Thomas B. Macaulay (1800-1859), Essay on Southey's Colloquies

All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

AR5 - Coming To Alarm You in September 2013

Is it a coincidence that the AR5 report from the IPCC is scheduled to be released in the month that is usually the height of the Atlantic hurricane season? Would they like to see a really big one arrive to add emphasis to what is surely to be their really scary message? Manipulators!

AR5 will be the most comprehensive assessment of scientific knowledge on climate change since 2007 when AR4 was released.

No, it won’t.

From Spiegelonline:
the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) is calling for the IPCC report to be published online so that it can be updated at any time. The current process disregards studies completed after a certain date, which means that UN climate data isn't up to date by the time its report is published, the institute says.

Please find out “Why the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change can't be trusted” and read: “The Delinquent Teenager Who Was Mistaken for the World's Top Climate Expert” by Donna Laframboise. It should shatter your confidence in that organization to produce anything but political propaganda.

“Drafts seen by Reuters of the study by the U.N. panel of experts, due to be published next month, say it is at least 95 percent likely that human activities – chiefly the burning of fossil fuels – are the main cause of warming since the 1950s.”

which is why Andrew Revkin reports this contradictory evidence to the IPCC assessment:

Where do you think the 95% figure came from? Do they have data to back that up? Or is it believed because it came from such an august body as the IPCC?

In the face of the evidence from Mother Nature, who apparently hasn’t seen the IPCC AR5 report, the 95% claim becomes very suspect. An ‘atmosphere on steroids’ is supposed to generate ever more frequent and severe hurricanes. The evidence shows that that has not been happening. Mother Nature has given the finger to the 95%.

This hurricane season (2013) has yet to see a hurricane. Is it a coincidence that the AR5 summary report is to be released in September which is often the most active month for hurricanes? This timing is no accident. If one does not appear they can always delay the release into October or later in the hopes that a big one will arrive to add emphasis to their sure to be scary message. What manipulators! Will the Gore effect spoil their party?

But we are no longer certain about their expertise. Flawed models are invalid models and their projections are useless and not to be believed. Policy based on them has already cost nations billions in wasted effort.

No government can make far-reaching policy decisions on the basis of a report which is widely believed to be obsolete before it is released.”

It’s a beautiful day in the neighbourhood. The truth has come out as we knew it would.

CO2 has been exhaled during the creation of this post. No living thing was harmed. Some even liked it.
