It is no longer global warming because it isn't.

It is climate change because it does.

Men are never so likely to settle a question rightly as when they discuss it freely.

— Thomas B. Macaulay (1800-1859), Essay on Southey's Colloquies

All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

Bad Times in LA

As the German media(Wirthschaftswoche,Der Spiegel, FAZ) wise up to the nonsense spewed by the IPCC which even the IPCC is beginning to realize as it backs away from its doomsday scenarios to statements of less certainty the LATimes is battening down the hatches to keep reality at bay.

Americans are so lucky. It is comforting to know that the omniscience occupying the WH has been ported to the LATimes. Now people on both sides of the country will not have to worry about exposure to ‘factual inaccuracies’.  The self appointed, self anointed and self revered guardians of the truth pompously make America the new Comedy Central. Enjoy!

“Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge of Truth and Knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the gods.” – Albert Einstein

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts -- Bertrand Russell

There is no doubt at the LATimes about their ability to know the truth when they see it. We leave them to the delusions in their own minds. They seem happy there. What’s that smell?

Looks like the Aussies don’t like being left out of the joke. They want some of that omniscience too. Oz. let me introduce you to Voltaire.

“Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.” -- Voltaire
