Gore: ‘History will not be kind’ to climate ‘deniers’

'I don’t pretend to know what the basis of [Aussie Prime Minister Tony Abbott's] thinking is, but Mother Nature has a louder voice,' he said, referring to increasing incidences of severe weather.

This is strange because instances of severe weather are not increasing. Is Al from our planet?

Al is hearing the Antarctic sea ice expand to capture unwary explorers who need rescue. He is hearing the flatline of temperature stasis. He hears people celebrating the relative quiet of the tornado and hurricane seasons of recent years. He hears the anemic power of CO2 to affect the climate in a negative manner. He hears the grass grow as CO2 fertilizes our flora. And he mistakes all this auditory stimulation for a crisis. For him the loud voice in his head may be a crisis but for the rest of us Mother Nature is not doing anything outside the bounds of natural variability. In other words, we have seen it all before.

The loud voice that Al is hearing is not that of Mother Nature. It is a creation of his own delusion about what is happening with the climate. Delusion: a belief held with strong conviction despite superior evidence to the contrary.

Mother Nature is reassuring and  informing people that:

1. There is no hot spot despite the increasing concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere. Here is another paper that reaches the same conclusion. They keep piling up. Is it hiding?
2. World temperatures have been flat for at least the last 16 years despite the rapid rise in CO2 atmospheric concentration since the turn of the last century. Consensus is lacking.
3. Extreme weather is not getting worse despite the rapid rise in CO2 atmospheric concentration since the turn of the last century. Sandy was not due to AGW.
4. Sea level rise (SLR) is not accelerating despite the rapid rise in CO2 atmospheric concentration since the turn of the last century.
5. Water vapor is not increasing in the atmosphere despite the rapid rise in CO2 atmospheric concentration since the turn of the last century.
6. US has been cooling for the last 15 years despite the rapid rise in CO2 atmospheric concentration since the turn of the last century. Kinda takes the GLOBAL outta GLOBAL warming don’t it?
7. Himalayan glaciers expanding contrary to prediction and despite the rapid rise in CO2 atmospheric concentration since the turn of the last century.
8. The melting Arctic? Greenland is gaining ice mass. We have heard it all before. We are still here and still waiting for the disastrous rise in sea levels despite the rapid rise in CO2 atmospheric concentration since the turn of the last century.
9. Antarctica is gaining ice mass. Antarctica is cooling despite the rapid rise in CO2 atmospheric concentration since the turn of the last century.
10. As the world warms LWIR increases at the top of the atmosphere. It is supposed to be trapped by increased CO2.
11. IPCC Global Climate Models (GCMs) can’t predict squat despite the rapid rise in CO2 atmospheric concentration since the turn of the last century. Some warmists are beginning to recognize this. Here is the latest.

Bonus: plants grow better, stronger, faster because of the increasing concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere.

The only voice that counts in science is that of Mother Nature and she is saying loud and clear that CO2 does not have much if anything to do with climate change. After all, if you have extreme weather in times of lower CO2 concentration and bad storms in times of higher CO2 atmospheric concentration then isn't the correct conclusion that CO2 has nought to do with it?

People are learning that CO2 has nothing to do with the temperature or the climate.

The evidence mounts as a new study shows that tropical storms have decreased in frequency since 1872. Weather was more variable  and extreme in the past.

Did you realize that deaths due to severe weather trauma are way down because of our early warning systems? Isn’t that great?

If we are a warming world then why was snow cover at a record level in December 2012? As the world warms are we not supposed to see less snow and more rain in the winter? Why are 2012 winter temperatures so cold in a warming world?

And the polar bears? They are thriving.

People are catching on and more and more scientists are speaking out or recanting on previously accepted CAGW beliefs.

To the chagrin of climate change alarmists like Al Gore, Mother Nature is an AGW denier.

Is Al making his own recordings and playing them to put himself to sleep at night? Is that the ‘stronger voice’ in his mind? Al seems to have lost touch with reality. He has written the script he would like Mother Nature to be shouting from the rooftops but Mother Nature does not care what Al thinks. She will do what she does and it is up to us to figure out the rules by which she operates. Currently, she is suggesting that we go back to the drawing board and come up with a new theory because the one that Al champions is wrong. Will Al ever admit that?

History will not be kind to alarmists blinded by their own motives.

The Consensus Delusion

The only problem with that statement is that Mother Nature doesn’t agree with the scientists who include themselves in that consensus. And if you do not have Mother Nature on your side you are lost.

CO2, a trace gas essential to life on earth, is plant food and if feeding the flora is a dangerous transformation of life on this planet my fruits and veggies are in its debt. CO2 is green

Stories about the ‘melting Arctic’ raised alarm in the 1900s, 20s, 30s and 40s. We still await the ensuing deluge. Whatever goes on in the Arctic appears to be cyclical. We have seen it before. Apparently, we don’t understand it which may explain why the ‘experts’ continue to guess wrong about the Arctic ice free date.

Forest fires are down across the world even as CO2 has continued to rise unabated in the air.

Many studies on drought have found that the droughts of the past were far worse than those we experience today.

Similar results for floods can be found in the literature.

In what year was the weather not in turmoil? We live in a non-linear, chaotic atmosphere. If the weather seems unpredictable maybe that is because it is. When has it ever been nothing but fluffy white clouds and gentle summer rain?

Isn’t it normal for the weather to be weird? We hear about it all the time. Newspapers of the past reported on it all the time. There is nothing unusual in our weather patterns. We have seen it all before.

Mother Nature is elevating her finger at the consensus. And she is never wrong.

Attack on CO2

The fact that carbon dioxide (CO2) is a required input in the process of photosynthesis which allows plants to grow seems to irk the man made global warming/climate change/climate disruption crowd. How could their pollutant be so nice? Our fruits and veggies not to mention our forests love the stuff. Commercial greenhouse operators regularly pump additional CO2 into their facilities because they have found it makes plants grown faster, stronger, better. It also allows plants to use less water in the process.

So, what’s an alarmist to do?

Find studies that purport to show that CO2 is not all good for our food.

If the quantity doesn’t decrease then the quality must be worse with higher levels of CO2 concentration and a warmer climate. It must! It just must!

And so we have the competing ‘more CO2 is good/bad’ studies. Is this known as the ‘settled science’?

To combat the misinformation of the above here are some studies that show CO2 in a more encouraging light.

Increased CO2 enhances the nutritional quality of food crops Oh, oh, that one contradicts the one above. Get back to us when you are on the same page guys and girls.

Studies show that increased CO2 can increase grain protein yield by 16%. That sounds good.

Higher CO2 Concentrations Will Feed A Billion More People  but will the food have enough nutrients? Inquiring minds want to know.

But Are Humans responsible for the increase in CO2? in the atmosphere over the last 150 years since the end of the Little Ice Age (LIA)? If we are not then there can be no AGW. So what is the verdict on that one? We are burning fossil fuels so the CO2 must be going into the atmosphere? How can we not be responsible for our portion of the increase? But how much of the increase is ours and how much belongs to Mother Nature? Anybody know? Hello?

It is an important point to be resolved but the temperature stasis of the last 16+ years indicates that CO2, of whatever origin, is not the driving force of temperature. Ok, maybe not. Carbon Tax Leads to Ouster of Australian Prime Minister People do not take well to being taxed to combat a problem that does not exist. If human induced CO2 is not responsible for climate change then why tax my production of it? That’s what I’m thinkin’.

Northern Hemisphere Snow Extent Up Sharply Since CO2 Hit 350 PPM Isn’t CO2 supposed to make the winters warmer? Has CO2 forgotten to trap the heat?

So while alarmists will keep up the attack on CO2 as a pollutant without redeeming features as a diversion from the AGW question we will continue to exhale the gas with every breath we take and have little to no influence on the temperature of the planet. Let the fear in you subside.

Meanwhile, the POTUS will go on issuing ‘executive orders’ oblivious to any of these scientific quandaries surrounding CO2 secure in the self imposed delusion that he knows what he is doing. Now you know better. Impersonating Little Miss Helpful he will #ActonClimate leaving behind a bigger mess than the one he intended to clean up. One or two staycations a year for the Obama clan would cut more CO2 emissions, if you care about such things, than his installation of solar panels at the WH. And, as usual, payment will be deferred to the future generations he claims to care about so much in the form a $20trillion debt. (Am I being conservative?) They will be so grateful.
