It is no longer global warming because it isn't.

It is climate change because it does.

Men are never so likely to settle a question rightly as when they discuss it freely.

— Thomas B. Macaulay (1800-1859), Essay on Southey's Colloquies

All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

Embrace the interglacial

60-90% of tart cherry’s are lost due to cold in parts of Michigan and some 50% of apple crop lost along with them. Cold kills warms grows.

Scientists don't believe tide guage

The Vancouver B.C., Canada tidal gauge reports no sea level rise over the last 100 years.

Scientists at the AAAS conference in Vancouver know the sea is rising and expect it to rise 1 meter over the next century in B.C.

Is this another example of scientists making up their own climate data to suit the conventional wisdom. If the instruments don't record what they expect to see then the instrument is wrong and we'll just ignore the data and continue on with our beliefs.

It can work this way. The land can sink and mislead about sea level rise. But now we have satellites to provide a truer picture.

What inspiring science. We can prove anything that way. To hell with reality.

And this is why so much of climate science isn't.

Scott Mandia embarrasses himself

In commenting on Michael Mann's hockey stick graph in The College Reporter we find:

“I agree with his work but what is far more important is that his paleoclimate research known as the “hockey stick” temperature reconstruction has been duplicated by many international scientists using different types of climate data and various data analysis techniques,” explained Scott Mandia, professor of Physical Sciences. “The fact that the planet is warmer now than at any time in the previous 2,000 years is very well-accepted in the climate science community. The science is solid.”

You would think that a scientist who wants to comment on climate science would be informed about the MWP and would not make such an ignorant statement and embarrass himself in such a public manner. This is inexcusable but in the realm of climate science it is not unusual as the politics of some climate scientists percolate to the top of their minds and out their mouths leaving their scientific acumen buried in history.

Mr Mandia would benefit from a trip here.

Dear Mr Mandia: “The fact that the planet is warmer now than at any time in the previous 2,000 years is very well-accepted in the climate science community." Really? How can you, as a scientist, embarrass yourself so publicly by showing your ignorance of the MWP? Astounding!

Perhaps you need to open your mind. You might learn something here.

Climate Change and Human Health

So how does global warming affect disease, starvation and death?

Happy reading. Check back often. It is kept up to date.

A warming world does not lead to an increase in the spread of disease.

A warming world does not lead to more starvation from droughts and famine.

A warming world does not lead to more deaths. In fact, warmth kills less than cold. See the evidence from Spain.

Severe weather killed more people in the past.

We should fear a cooling world not a warming one. It is harder to grow stuff in ice.

So what is the story on the Himalayan glaciers?

Melt or grow?

Stable  since 1992 despite large increase in CO2

Soot from India and China melting glaciers not CO2 emissions

Both Roman and Medieval warming occurred in Himalayas

Himalayan snow job 2005. WWF says glaciers rapidly receding

Glacier recession not due to CO2

Himalayan glaciers retreated 2km

No ice loss in last 10 years

Growing glaciers in the Himalayas?

Sweater weather in Florida in April

And we don't mean sweater as in sweaty. Southern Florida gets a chill in April. "The cool air comes courtesy of a strong low-pressure system combined with a wind pattern that delivered cold air from Canada, rare conditions for this time of year"

Damn canucks!

Guess the heat trapping gas CO2 has left for a while. Wonder where it goes for vacation?

Anti CAGW Evidence

Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming?

Au contraire

Think again

Nope

Unprecedented? Hardly.

Catastrophic?  No.

Myth? Yes.

Fallacies.

There is lots of evidence to invalidate the claims of alarmists.

Three critical ones:

1. As the world warms the energy leaving the earth's atmosphere increases contrary to the heat-trapping scenario favored by the alarmists and the IPCC.
2. The absence of the hot spot predicted to appear in the tropical troposphere.
3. The inability of the models to predict the Siberian High.

Put a fork in it. CAGW is done like dinner.
