Time magazine reported in 1975 that global cooling was the cause of drought, floods, dry spells and heatwaves.
This year, 2012, we are told the exact opposite. It is global warming that is the cause of drought, floods, dry spells and heatwaves.
While scientists are trying to settle that one, one thing has become known: GreenHouse Gases (GHGs) like H2O and CO2 are not responsible for droughts.
Whatever you do don't blame CO2.

Iditarod
Iditarod is the annual dog race that takes place from Anchorage to Nome Alaska.
In 2008 there was mushy snow. This was blamed on global warming.
In 2012 there was too much snow but the race took place anyway. Was this due to global cooling?
Since CO2 is the cause of all things weather related please explain how these conditions happened?
Was there too much heat trapping gas in Alaska in 2008? Did the heat trapping gas go to Washington and cause the early blooming of the cherry blossoms in 2012?
Are there any measurements to prove this? Do we only have the CO2 concentration from Mauna Loa in Hawaii as the Earth's gauge of atmospheric CO2 content? Shouldn't we have a CO2 index included as part of the weather forecast so we can tell whether global warming or global cooling is coming? Perhaps we should call it local warming and local cooling since that is what appears to be happening. We get unseasonably warm weather in Southern Ontario and the Northeastern US at the same time as there is record cold in Europe, Alaska and Siberia. Does CO2 move around the atmosphere to bring us these warm and cold conditions? Is that what is going on?
CO2 migrates from Alaska to Southern Ontario and the NE US so we have cold where it left and warmth where it went? Does CO2 behave like that?
Please enlighten me. Inquiring minds want to know. Or maybe it is this.

Another fun climate story
"fewer cold winters and more heatwaves in Britain, which we can link to global warming.” So said Vicki Pope.
Then the snow came and Vicki sojourned at Heathrow for a few days.
Then she went to Cancun to find record cold.
At least it was better than Copenhagen.
Now that is funny!
